real talk

welcome to Real Talk, the blog hypotenuse of Really Real Records. we also have a twitter.

when you're at rockbottom you can go underground or you can flourish. here at really real we're gearing our logistics towards flourishing so expect to see the fruits of our efforts and the triumphs of our affiliates in the near future. we're not ones to use the term "release schedule" lightly but we're very excited to be releasing the Swiss' lifechanging second offering sometime soon.

we're pretty into the idea of putting out tracks by people that we like and really admire the work of. i would like to take this opportunity to point out that we didn't start this immediately after watching 24 Hour Party People.

we are loosely inspired by the following videos:

this scene from hustle & flow

the tremendous achievements of alex the african grey parrot (RIP)

robert palmer's stage presence in this tv spot for "johnny & mary"

every aspect of this video except for puffy's verse (turn the sound down from 2:24 to 3:01)
